Love this park. Been here a few times, and it is totally worth the price to get into the park. What we really loved is the fact that you can let your dog off the leash in the fenced run and they can enjoy socializing with many other dogs (there is usually someone else there that your dog can play with). Rocks on either side keep the dogs from getting away, and the water isn't too deep incase you need to help acclimate your dog to swimming.
Surprised to find this gem of a park so close to home. Beautiful views of the Bay, plenty of picnic areas, parking and my dog had a blast socializing and swimming at the dog beach!
Lots of tables and grills tucked away in wooded areas. Felt welcoming to pet owners as they have 'pet parking' areas just outside of spaces where they aren't allowed to go, like restrooms and the pier - plus the drinking fountain had a spigot with a hose CONVENIENT FOR RINSING YOUR PUP before heading home. Oh, and there is a restroom, picnik tables, grills, and a lookout spot very conveniently located just outside the dog beach. Now, I've only gone on two, random Mondays, so take it wih a grain of Old Bay when I say, "It wasnt crowded at all; plenty of space for everyone!"
I love this place, I really do.. there's always a private place for you and your fur-babe if you need it and there's lots of open space as well. Beautiful scenery, quite and calm - perfect for training and quality time. If you've never been you should take a ride down and see the different spaces they have to offer, I guarantee you'll have fun.
We go for the fenced-in DOG BEACH, and stay for the plentiful PICNIC TABLES and GRILLS!
The park maps and sign information need to be updated. Lovely park aside from that.
